Provide your feedback

Details of the Hackney Downs LTN are available on Hackney Council's Rebuilding a Greener Hackney pages. Leave your comments supportive of the scheme.

We support the scheme and would like to to be made permanent. Further developments we would like to see in and around the LTN include:
  • Filter and School Street on Hackney Downs Roads, which would enable more students and staff to walk and cycle safely to the schools. Special consideration may be required for pupils at Stormont House.
  • The filter that has been in place for the roadworks on Bodney Road to be made permanent.

Space to breathe

Picture
Previously a dangerous traffic blackspot, the junction of Brooke Road and Evering Road is now much quieter, with space that could be put to public use if the LTN becomes permanent.

Bus gates

Picture
The 488 passes through the LTN, via the camera-controlled bus gate on Downs Road. This solution also allows easy access for emergency vehicles

Benthal and Jenner Roads

Some residents on these roads have reported increased traffic due to the placement of filters. If you’ve been affected by this, let us know – we’re working on a solution.
