London Fields LTN

The London Fields LTN was introduced in September 2020. The scheme included
  • bus gate on Cat and Mutton Bridge.
  • bus gate on Richmond Road (following extensive resident engagement and workshops in 2018 and 2019.
  • filter on Middleton Road, ensuring that Quietway 2 is a low traffic route that it was always intended to be.
  • filter on Scriven Street, making the streets next to Haggerston Station and Snake Park suitably quiet.
  • Cycle tracks on Queensbridge Road.
  • Pedestrianising Broadway Market, an idea that has long had broad public support.
  • Filter on Triangle Road, creating safer space outside Ann Taylor Children's Centre, and removing through traffic from the east side of London Fields.

We support the scheme, and would like further developments, including:
  • Operating hours of the Lansdowne Drive bus gate to be extended to 24/7.
  • Whiston Road to be tackled, perhaps with a filter on Pritchards Road.

News and stories from London Fields LTN

Traffic down on boundary roads

Picture
Traffic data shows a 6.3% average reduction on the LTN boundary roads, even when benchmarked for lockdown impact.

Pritchards Road and Whiston Road

Picture
As part of the London Fields scheme, filters on Pritchards Road would create an additional LTN to the south of the canal. We would like this to proceed as soon as possible.
