Stoke Newington LTN
Church Street: The biggest change in Stoke Newington is the new Church Street bus gate. The scheme was announced on the 9th August 2021 and was operational from September 20th 2021. The bus gate has created Stoke Newington LTNs to the north and south of Church Street, by stopping through traffic between 7am and 7pm and by adding additional 24x7 filters on surrounding roads - Yoakley, Bouverie, Nevill, Oldfield and Lordship Road/Terrace. The Church St filter allows registered Blue Badge + Companion Badge holders and emergency vehicles to pass at any time.

Two other traffic reduction schemes have been introduced in Stoke Newington:
Traffic filters are not new to Stoke Newington, and many streets have had filters for years or decades, including Queen's Drive, Statham Grove, Lavell St, Shakespeare Walk, and Queen Elizabeth's Walk.
Green Lanes cycling: Despite being a scaled down version of the original proposals, the cycle tracks provide wand-separated lanes for cyclists between Petherton Road and Woodberry Grove, providing some safety from the heavy and often speeding traffic on Green Lanes. Work is complete, and most cyclists think it's a big success.

Two other traffic reduction schemes have been introduced in Stoke Newington:
- Walford Road - Nevill Road - Brighton Road. These roads suffered from serious rat-running as traffic diverted off/on the High Road (A10) but new traffic filters around Nevill Road stopped this and the area is now much quieter with less air pollution and many more people walking, cycling and scooting in the area.
- Clissold Crescent. A new filter was installed just off Church Street stopping traffic cutting through between Albion Road and Church Street. Both Clissold Crescent and Carysfort Road now enjoy cleaner air and quieter streets, with more people cycling and walking.
